''Capoeta capoeta'' is a species of West Asian cyprinid fish, including forms called the Sevan khramulya and the Transcaucasian carp. This species has two or three subspecies: * ''Capoeta capoeta capoeta'' (Güldenstädt, 1773) * ''Capoeta capoeta gracilis'' (Keyserling, 1861) (from Iran) * ''Capoeta capoeta sevangi'' De Filippi, 1865 (the Sevan khramulya; it is controversial whether this is different from ''C. c. capoeta'')〔 〕 ==Sevan khramulya in Lake Sevan== In Lake Sevan, Armenia, the Sevan khramulya previously dominated in the fish landings, along with the Sevan trout. Annual harvest could be 300-500 tonnes.〔 Males reach maturity at 2–3 years and females in 5–7 years in females.〔 They spawn in the lake in June–July,〔 but there are also populations in the major rivers draining to the lake.〔 The fish feed on detritus and as adults also on aquatic vegetation.〔B.
